Customize it with your favorite toppings like nuts, fruit, or a drizzle of icing for an extra treat.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients:

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (for creaminess & fiber)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

Cinnamon Swirl Topping:

  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional Add-ins:

  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar (for extra sweetness)
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (for warm spice)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Oats Base

  1. In a mason jar or bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
  2. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are mixed.

Step 2: Make the Cinnamon Swirl

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Swirl it into the oat mixture for a cinnamon roll-like taste.

Step 3: Refrigerate Overnight

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and flavors.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. In the morning, stir the oats and add your favorite toppings like chopped nuts, fruit, or a drizzle of icing.
  2. Serve cold, or warm in the microwave for 30-60 seconds if you prefer it warm.
