Ingredients
For the Pasta:

- 4 cups water (for boiling)
- 1 teaspoon salt
For the Chicken and Shrimp:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (diced into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 lb medium shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
For the Carbonara Sauce:
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For Garnish:
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Extra Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions (8-10 minutes).
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set the pasta aside.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken and Shrimp
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken with salt and black pepper, then cook until golden brown and fully cooked (4-5 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the shrimp, season lightly, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
Step 3: Prepare the Carbonara Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
- Lower the heat to medium, then add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it with the garlic.
- Remove from heat, then slowly pour in the egg mixture, stirring continuously to prevent scrambling.
- Add a bit of reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
- Return the chicken and shrimp to the pan, tossing everything together.

- Plate the pasta and top with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
